Frequently asked questionsStraight answers before you hand over a device.

Policies can vary by device, part, and repair. These answers set a useful baseline; call Qucin when your situation needs specifics.

01

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment is required for most walk-in diagnostics. For time-sensitive needs, contacting Qucin first helps us get ready for you.

02

How long will my repair take?

Most repairs are completed within 1–48 hours. Timing depends on the device, damage, parts availability, repair complexity, and how many devices are ahead of yours, so it isn't guaranteed.

03

Do you provide diagnostics and a quote?

Diagnostics are free. If you decide not to repair after we diagnose the problem, you pay nothing. A repair attempt fee of $40–$100 applies only to board-level repair, data recovery, or devices with a prior repair attempt when the repair or recovery isn't successful.

We tell you about any change to the estimate and get your approval before doing the work.

04

Do repairs come with a warranty?

Repairs and parts are covered by a 60-day warranty (14 days for game consoles) on the original issue. Unrelated problems, physical or liquid damage after the repair, software issues, outside parts, and tampering aren't covered.

05

How can I pay?

All major credit and debit cards. If a repair needs parts ordered, we'll give you the cost and an estimated arrival time. Ordered parts need a 50% non-refundable deposit.

06

What devices do you repair?

Qucin works with supported phones, tablets, consoles, laptops, desktops, gaming PCs, storage devices, and electronics requiring port or board-level evaluation. Feasibility depends on the exact model and condition.

07

Do you repair HDMI and charging ports?

Yes, Qucin evaluates HDMI, USB-C, and charging-port damage. The scope can include connector replacement, damaged pads or traces, and related circuitry.

08

How do you protect customer information?

Qucin requests only information needed for service, explains when access is required, limits file access to legitimate repair needs, and recommends customer backups when practical.

09

Can I check repair status online?

Yes. Open Check Repair Status and enter your ticket number, last name, and the phone number or email on the ticket. You can also approve an estimate or send the repair team a message there. Calling the shop works too.
